The 40-EDID HDMI Emulator. Save the EDID data from your HDTV ource or display. Computers and HDTV video sources sometimes lose the EDID information, the electronic identification of a display which communicates it’s ability to render resolutions and frequencies or to deliver a video signal at all. When displays are switched away or disconnected and then reconnected, the EDID data can be lost and the computer or HD video source device can lose the ability to output video and display a proper image. By using preset CEC and EDID settings, the selector avoids delay in synchronization between the source and display and offers quick set up of the parameters settings while switching to a different source. The 40-EDID is perfect for laptops or media PC products that require a display to be present during bootup or a system restart or when connected to a A\V receiver that switches multiple HDMI devices.
